BOURBON APPLE CIDER COCKTAIL

Bourbon Apple Cider Drink Recipe

When the cooler weather hits, this bourbon apple cider cocktail is my drink of choice! Fresh apple cider, bourbon and a splash of ginger ale makes it perfect for the season. It’s everything you want a fall cocktail to be.

To me, bourbon is comforting. I find I mostly choose it in the fall or winter or on a summer day when it’s raining outside. And although this drink has bourbon in it, it isn’t overpowering. I’ve made this cocktail for friends who “don’t like bourbon” and they were in love at first sip! So even if you don’t like bourbon, you have to give this cocktail a try. The flavors blend so perfectly together.

Apple Cider Coctail

I love it when apple cider is in season. I’ve never been big on apple juice but I love fresh apple cider in the fall. It really makes the perfect mixer for a seasonal cocktail. We visited an apple orchard last week where my kids got to pick their own apples. It was the perfect fall day! The leaves had started changing and it was cool and crisp outside. I of course picked up their homemade apple cider for this recipe in particular. If you aren’t able to make it out to an orchard for your apple cider, you’re in luck because you can usually find it in any grocery store’s produce section in the fall.

I not only love a good cocktail but I really love a pretty one! I try not to skimp on the garnish. Here I put cinnamon sugar on the rim of my glass and served the cocktail with an apple slice and a cinnamon stick.
